01 · Evaluation criteria

Associations with chapters or committees need first-class support for scoped admin access, chapter-level events, and per-capita remittance. If chapters are an afterthought in the platform, you will hit walls in the first year.

Professional associations need CEU/CLE/CME tracking with expiration dates, audit trail, and regulatory reporting. Ask for a demo of the credential module before signing anything.

Committees need their own members, their own documents, and their own private discussions. Bolt-on forums rarely deliver this.

The AMS category is famous for opaque pricing and implementation fees that double the cost of year one. Demand a published price and question any "starts at" that requires a sales call to unlock.
