Why you are reading this
Wild Apricot was the default for over a decade. The category has moved on. Members expect modern software, pricing has gotten more complicated, and support has degraded. Here is what else to evaluate.
1. Covey
Covey is our product. We built it specifically for organizations leaving Wild Apricot. 48-hour migration is included. Members, levels, events, financial history, email templates, and community posts come across. Modern interface, flat pricing, human support on every plan.
2. MemberClicks
Larger AMS inside Personify (same parent as Wild Apricot). More features, higher price, longer implementation. Best fit: larger professional associations.
3. ClubExpress
Low-cost option for small clubs. Per-member pricing works if you stay small. UI is noticeably dated. Best fit: budget-conscious hobby clubs.
4. Neon CRM
Nonprofit-focused tool with fundraising depth. Good fit if fundraising is your primary motion.
5. GrowthZone / ChamberMaster
Chamber-of-commerce specialist. Overkill for most other org types. Best fit: established chambers.
6. Join It
Lightweight membership tool that integrates with Mailchimp and Eventbrite. Low ceiling.
7. Raklet
Global freemium with a branded app. Feature breadth uneven; US support limited.
8. MemberPlanet
Moderate-scale AMS, strong communications tools, a polished option for mid-size associations.
9. Tendenci
Open-source-friendly alternative for tech-capable teams.
How to choose
Start with your must-haves (migration service? chapter support? community forum?). Eliminate tools missing any must-have. Then evaluate the top three on pricing transparency and member experience. Demo any finalist with real data from your current platform, not a vendor-chosen happy-path demo.
