The club software dilemma
Most clubs run on software that is either too enterprise (expensive AMS built for trade associations) or too legacy (ClubExpress, circa 2008). A new generation fits the club use case without the price tag or the UI tax.
1. Covey
Modern club platform with seasonal memberships, recurring event series, forums, and a directory that works on mobile. Considered design, human support.
2. ClubExpress
The incumbent. Low per-member pricing. Dated admin UI and dated member portal. Still dominant by install base.
3. Wild Apricot
Generalist. Works for clubs but not optimized for them.
4. TeamSnap
Sports-team-specific. Strong for youth leagues and adult rec leagues. Weaker for non-sports clubs.
5. ClubRunner
Strong for service clubs (Rotary, Lions) with club-specific templates.
6. SportsEngine
Youth-sports focused. Owned by NBC Sports.
